Aegis LMS
School exams that feel like Cambridge, at an Indonesian school's budget.
One WordPress plugin. Teachers build the questions, students sit the exam on a laptop or phone, and the result becomes a full PDF — complete with the student's own on-screen scribbles — that only teachers can download.
Try it yourself before deciding
Try the live demo yourself at aegis.fericy.com. Sign in as a head teacher to see the admin side, or as a student to sit an exam.

Paper exams devour teacher time
Photocopy, distribute, collect, grade by hand, copy scores into a recap. One test can eat three days of a teacher's work.
Global platforms are out of reach
Enterprise LMS platforms charge per student per month. For 300 students, that can pass half a billion rupiah a year.
Cheap apps leak
Scores visible before they're announced, result files anyone can download, and school data sitting on someone else's server.
Aegis was born at the midpoint: the experience of sitting an international-grade exam, installed on the school's own server, paid once.
Three roles, firm access boundaries
Head Teacher
Sees every teacher's exams, manages subject categories, bulk-imports students, sets exam header colors, toggles features per exam, monitors storage, and downloads every student's PDF report.
Teacher
Works only on their own exams — builds pages and questions, grades essay answers, comments per question, and downloads their own students' PDFs. Cannot change exam features or header colors.
Student
Only sits exams that are open, sees their own exam list, and keeps private notes. Blocked from admin pages entirely, with no permission to download any PDF.
What a school gets in version 2.0.2
Every one of these can be switched on or off per exam by the head teacher.
Timer
Countdown that auto-submits when time runs out. Can be turned off for untimed exams.
Calculator
Floating, draggable, keyboard-aware, with roots and percentages.
Scribble pad
Five colors, 1–12px thickness, eraser, and a clear button.
Highlighter
Transparent strokes to mark key sentences in the reading passage.
Private notes
A student notebook during the exam, printed on the report sheet.
Page jumping
Numbered navigation with color status: answered, partial, untouched.
Flag for review
A yellow flag on questions to revisit before submitting.
Enlarge text
A+ and A− buttons for students who need larger type.
Split screen
Reading and questions side by side, with a draggable divider.
Answer summary
A map of all questions before submitting; click a number to jump back.
Autosave
Answers, notes, and scribbles saved every dozen seconds and on every page change.
Auto-grading
Multiple choice is scored the moment a student submits. Teachers focus on essays.
The details that make it feel premium
An exam room, not a form
A single scribble canvas covers both panels at once, so students can mark up the reading passage — not just the answer area. Reading and questions sit side by side, exactly like international exam formats, with one passage serving several questions.
- Timer pulses red at 5 minutes left, then auto-submits
- Disabled tools simply don't appear
- Color-coded page indicators: green, yellow, dashed
A PDF report that becomes study material
Every report carries identity, final score, every question, the student's answer, per-item scores, teacher comments, the reading text, and the student's scribbles per page. Only teachers can download it — students have no download permission at all, and guessing the file address is useless because the storage folder refuses direct access.
- Around 20–80 KB per report, scribbles included
- Regenerated whenever a grade changes — never stale
- Built by an in-house generator, not a 30 MB library
A thousand students in one upload
Nobody wants to create accounts one by one the night before an exam. Upload a CSV where only the name column is required — blank usernames are built from the name, blank passwords are generated, blank emails get an internal school address. Column headers work in any language, in any order.
- Comma or semicolon separators auto-detected
- Excel BOM marks cleaned automatically
- Login cards exportable as CSV, ready to print
Security the school actually controls
Answer keys are never sent to the student's browser — opening inspect element doesn't help. Students who try to reach wp-admin are bounced back to their exam list. Files live in a private folder that refuses direct web access, and no student answer ever touches a third-party server.
- Answer keys stripped from browser data
- Students blocked from admin pages
- Head teacher sees storage used per student
Four steps, from blank question to report card
Create the exam
Title, subject, exam model, duration. Add pages, pick a split layout if there's a reading passage. ± 5 minutes.
Write the questions
Essay or multiple choice. Mark the answer key with one click. Points per question are up to you. MC auto-grades.
Students sit the exam
The teacher does nothing. Answers, scribbles, and notes save automatically to the school's server every 12 seconds.
Grade & download
Multiple choice is already scored. The teacher grades essays — seeing the student's scribbles beside each answer — then downloads the PDF.
Two ways to buy, with no per-student math
However many students and teachers your school has, the price stays the same.
Pay once, the system belongs to the school. No annual bills, no per-student fees. For a 300-student school that's about Rp 4,387 per student per month over three years — then zero from year four onward.
- All in one — every module active, no feature locks
- Auto update — new versions arrive automatically, forever
- Unlimited students, teachers, and exams
- Installed on the school's server, data owned by the school
- Initial setup and teacher training included
The system plus the team behind it. Ideal for schools without their own IT staff. Break-even is around month 19 — below that the subscription is lighter; above it the one-time license is cheaper, and we'll say so plainly when asked.
- Maintenance — monitoring, data backup, issue fixes
- Complete product — every feature, same as the license
- Unlimited users — students and teachers
- Regular updates installed automatically
- System modification — custom requests for your school
"But what about…"
We're not technical.
It installs in two minutes and comes pre-loaded with a sample exam and 20 students, so your head teacher can try it before deciding anything. The subscription plan includes the team to run it for you.
Will it survive next year's updates?
This is v2.0.2, not the final version. License holders receive every future version automatically — install over the old file from the Plugins page and exam data, scores, and student accounts stay intact.
How do we know it's really cheaper?
The comparison uses vendors' public pricing, not estimates. Aegis doesn't charge per student, so the cost stays flat no matter how many students you add — while per-student platforms rebill every year and rise with headcount.
Try Aegis on one class this week
Install it, run one daily test, and compare teacher grading time before and after. That's the most honest number there is.
